Marlee Matlin - Keynote Speaker (October 7th)
Academy Award Winning Actress & Activist
Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin made her film debut in Children of a Lesser God and has since been in several films and television shows, including a recent appearance on Dancing with the Stars. She has written three children’s books and her memoir, I’ll Scream Later (2009). She’s also appeared in numerous educational and children’s programs and is actively involved with many charitable organizations.

Soledad O’Brien - Keynote Speaker (October 8th)
Acclaimed Special Investigations Correspondent and Host of CNN’s In America Documentaries
One of the shining stars of television news, Soledad O’Brien is the special correspondent and anchor for CNN’s special investigations unit. For CNN, she has covered Hurricane Katrina and the South Asian tsunami, as well as breaking news in the war in Iraq and across the country. Most recently, she has co-hosted CNN’s 2008 election coverage, and is the host of CNN’s In America series, reporting for Black in America, Black in America 2, and most recently, Latino in America. She is also the author of the recently released companion book to Latino in America.
